Bee and Wasp Removal in Texas

These pest control companies in Texas remove or relocate bees and wasps. Africanized honey bees entered South Texas in 1990, and most feral colonies are now assumed to carry some African genes. They look like European honey bees but react more strongly to disturbance. A resting swarm is relatively docile and usually moves on within 48 hours, but one near a building or a busy area should be managed, and spraying it with water yourself is not recommended.

Under state law, a person paid to remove a honey bee nest must be a registered beekeeper or a licensed pest control professional, and a beekeeper without a pest license may charge only when no pesticide is used. A nest left in a wall can bring odor, staining and other pests. Wasps are a separate job: paper wasps hang nests under eaves, yellowjackets nest mainly in the ground, and wasps can sting more than once. Anyone with a heart condition or a known venom allergy should not attempt wasp control.
