Bed Bug Treatment Companies in Texas

These pest control companies in Texas treat bed bugs. Adult bed bugs are about a quarter inch long, reddish brown, oval and flat, and they do not fly. They hide by day and feed at night. Signs are itchy welts, tiny red spots on bedding, and dark spots and stains where they hide. They are not known to carry disease to people, though bites can cause irritation or allergic reactions.

Texas A&M calls do-it-yourself bed bug control difficult, and treatment usually takes several visits. In apartments the bugs usually arrive from a nearby unit, during a move or on used furniture, so treatment generally needs the manager and a pest control company working together. Texas requires apartments, hotels and other lodging to be treated by a licensed applicator, not an unlicensed staff member. Clothing can be dry cleaned, washed in hot water or tumble dried on high for 30 minutes.
