Eco-Friendly Pest Control in Texas

These pest control companies in Texas offer eco-friendly or pet-safe treatments. Many Texas pest control companies offer treatments they describe as organic, green, natural or pet safe. Those are the companies' own words. Every pesticide used in Texas must be registered with both the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Texas Department of Agriculture, and EPA registration is not a finding that a product is safe.

Ask which products will be used, where, and why. For an indoor treatment of a private home that is not a rental, the applicator must make the state's consumer information sheet available, and an information sheet is also required for outdoor treatments at a private home. Texas A&M guidance leans on steps other than spraying for several pests: sealing cracks and weep holes against scorpions, rat-proofing against rodents, and emptying standing water against mosquitoes. A company offering integrated pest management should be able to say which of these it uses.
