Commercial Pest Control in Texas

These pest control companies in Texas serve businesses and commercial properties. Commercial pest control in Texas comes with its own notice rules. Rental properties of five or more units, workplaces, hospitals, nursing homes, hotels, warehouses, food plants, schools and day care centers must post a pest control sign or give other notice at least 48 hours before a planned indoor treatment. The sign gives a phone number for pesticide information and the National Pesticide Information Center line. The notice can be waived for an imminent health hazard if the customer and the certified applicator sign a statement.

Apartments, hotels and other lodging must be treated by a licensed applicator. A noncommercial license covers an employee doing pest control for their own employer and may not be used for hire. Contracts, warranties and service agreements must show the company's name, license number, address and phone and a statement that it is licensed and regulated by the Texas Department of Agriculture, so a property manager can check each of those against the state's license files.
