Atascosa County Animal Control

Atascosa County Animal Control is a county department in Jourdanton that runs the shelter for the county's stray and surrendered animals. It is not a pest control company. Its page highlights adoptable pets in the shelter and sits among the county's other departments, which include environmental health, emergency management, the sheriff and the fire marshal. The county page also covers incorporated cities, school districts and county history. Rated 4.4 from 124 Google reviews, 87 of them five stars and 10 at one star. The entrance and parking are wheelchair accessible, and posted hours are available for visitors. Staff contacts appear on the department page for residents who need to reach someone directly. The department is part of county government, so questions about stray animals, adoption or shelter intake go to its staff rather than to a private company.
