Animal Control

Huntsville's Animal Control is a city government office, part of the police department's operations, and not a pest control company. It acts as the local rabies authority and enforces animal ordinances, with pages for stray animals and nuisance wildlife. The animal control officer works Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., and requests go through the police department at 936-291-5480. After hours animal emergencies and bites go to the police dispatcher at 936-435-8001. The page also links to Texas Parks and Wildlife and to the city's animal laws and ordinances. Residents who need trapping and removal of nuisance wildlife are told to contact a professional pest control service. Rated 1.9 from 15 Google reviews, 11 of them one star and 2 five stars.
